Hi! I’m Lois the new Finance Officer, I have worked in General Practice for 13 years. I’m excited to start my new role in finance to gain further knowledge, learn new skills and develop.
The whole team have been so friendly and welcoming, it’s so great that all the teams work together in providing care for our patients and community.
In my spare time I love playing games and having fun with my little boy, socialising with family and friends and exploring the world.
Hi I’m Nicola. I Joined the federation April 2021 after taking redundancy from over 20 years in retail banking.
I have predominately been part of the Covid workforce, planning and staffing clinics, recruiting vaccinators/admin staff, co-ordinating care home/housebound patient visits.
More recently I have become involved with some PCN elements of the business and finance.
Working for the federation has vastly enhanced my knowledge within the NHS.
It’s great to work with such a friendly team.
Hi I’m Ella.
I am working at Wigan Borough Federated Healthcare as an admin apprentice. My main job roles are answering the phone, booking appointments etc. I am currently doing a level 3 administration course at college during my time here and this role is helping further my skills in IT and communication skills.
In my spare time, I enjoy going out with friends and family and being outdoors.
Yvonne Joined the Federation in June 2020 to facilitate the future planning and development of Wigan Central and Wigan North Primary Care Networks. With a strong background in Primary Care supporting health and wellbeing. Yvonne developed the successful Community Link Worker Service in Wigan and has worked within health improvement across the Borough for over 30-years. Now in a new role, Yvonne is responsible for business development and will be using her knowledge and expertise to support the growth of the Federation.
I have worked in the NHS for over 30 years, most of this in Bolton but also covering Chorley and Wigan.
After completing a history degree, I went on to work in Quality Control before joining the NHS, where much of these learned principles were put to good use.
I then completed the AMSPAR diploma in Practice Management.
My NHS roles have included Practice Manager, Commissioning Support Officer / QOF Lead, Data Information Analyst, PCN Manager now Quality and Governance Manager.
I enjoy socialising, traveling and Formula 1.
I’ve been registered Nurse since 2000 and spent my first 10 years happily working in intensive care
at NMGH. I then moved into workforce development working for Skills for Health, before taking a
PEF position with the acute hospitals, where my pathway into being an educator started.
In 2019 I transitioned from secondary to primary care working across Greater Manchester and
Cheshire and Merseyside Training Hub as Practice Educator facilitator. Where I have worked on
programmes for HEE and NHSE.
Personally, I am a member of a rambling club and spend many hours in the Yorkshire dales walking
my 2 young bordoodle dogs.
