Your Local Federation
Established in 2013, Wigan Borough Federated Healthcare CIC has been dedicated to supporting GP practices and Primary Care Networks (PCNs) in delivering high-quality services to the borough’s patient population. Our organisation was created to strengthen collaboration across practices, enabling a more coordinated approach to patient care and service delivery.
We work closely with our member practices to design and implement services that are both efficient and effective, helping to reduce pressure on primary care while ensuring that patients can access timely, professional support and advice. By pooling resources, expertise, and innovation, we aim to enhance service capacity and improve health outcomes across the borough.
Over the years, the Federation has grown and evolved, developing a skilled and multidisciplinary team capable of delivering a wide range of services that are central to the core needs of Primary Care. These services are designed to support practices, improve patient access, and respond to the changing demands of the healthcare system.
Our focus remains on fostering strong partnerships, enabling sustainable service delivery, and ensuring that patients in Wigan receive consistent, high-quality care when they need it most.
